03:36 AM EDT, 08/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Uber Technologies ( UBER ) and Pony.ai (PONY) said late Thursday they expanded their partnership to deploy over 2,000 robotaxis across Europe.

The rollout will expand from an existing commercial service in Zagreb, Croatia into four additional European cities alongside planned entry into the Middle East, the companies said.

Pony.ai will supply its Level 4 autonomous driving technology while Uber ( UBER ) will provide rider access, booking, payment, and customer support, they said.

Shares of Pony.ai were down 1% in Friday premarket activity.
