10:12 AM EDT, 08/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Udemy ( UDMY ) said Friday that co-founder and former chief executive Eren Bali has returned to the online skills and learning marketplace company as chief technology officer, effective Aug. 12.

Bali, who stepped down as a board member on starting his role as CTO, was CEO from its launch in 2010 through 2014. He succeeds Venu Venugopal, who will continue in an advisory capacity at the company.

Udemy ( UDMY ) shares were 1.1% higher in recent trading.
