07:53 AM EDT, 06/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The UK's Competition and Markets Authority said Monday it has launched an inquiry into Omnicom Group's ( OMC ) anticipated acquisition of The Interpublic Group of Companies ( IPG ) .

"The deadline for the CMA to announce its decision whether to refer the merger for a phase 2 investigation is therefore 13 August 2025," the regulator said.

Omnicom ( OMC ) and Interpublic did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
