UMB Financial Secures Final Approvals to Acquire Heartland, Deal Expected to Close in January

04:26 PM EST, 01/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- UMB Financial ( UMBF ) was cleared by the Federal Reserve Board and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to acquire Denver-based Heartland Financial USA ( HTLF ) , the final regulatory hurdles needed for the deal to move forward, the bank companies said Friday.

The bank companies announced the proposed all-stock transaction in 2024, and are now expecting to close the deal by the end of January, pending completion of customary conditions.
