04:24 PM EST, 01/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- UMB Financial ( UMBF ) said late Friday it will complete the acquisition of Heartland Financial USA ( HTLF ) , effective before midnight.

The transaction will expand UMB's geographic footprint to 13 states from eight and increase its asset size to about $68 billion, the company said.

UMB and Heartland in April 2024 agreed to an all-stock deal valued at roughly $2 billion, with former Heartland shareholders owning about 31% of the combined company.
