Unionized Apple Store Workers Reportedly Get First US Contract

09:14 AM EDT, 08/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Workers at the first unionized Apple ( AAPL ) store in the US ratified a three-year contract Tuesday after a year and a half of bargaining with the tech giant, according to media reports.

The contract, which covers about 85 workers at the Towson, Maryland, store, includes an increase in starting pay for 80% of positions and average raises of 10% over the contract's lifetime, according to the reports. The deal also includes protections for current and part-time members, limits on contracted employees, severance, and a disciplinary process.
