11:15 AM EDT, 10/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Unisys ( UIS ) said in a regulatory filing Tuesday that it has reached a settlement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission regarding a previous investigation into its cybersecurity policies and disclosures.

The IT company said it agreed to pay a $4 million civil penalty, which was fully accrued in its 2023 financials and also agreed to a cease and desist order regarding future violations.

The SEC acknowledged Unisys's ( UIS ) cooperation during the investigation and noted the remediation steps the company has taken in its cybersecurity practices since the issues were identified.

Shares of Unisys ( UIS ) were down 6% in recent trading activity.
