04:20 PM EDT, 07/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- United Airlines (UAL) said Monday its flight 1001 lost a landing gear wheel on take off from Los Angeles.

Boeing ( BA ) 757-200 aircraft landed safely in Denver. The wheel was later discovered in Los Angeles, United Airlines told MT Newswires.

The airline said no injuries were reported and it is investigating the incident.

Boeing ( BA ) told MT Newswires that it delivered the aircraft about 30 years ago and stopped 757 production about 20 years ago.
