08:58 AM EDT, 09/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- A United Airlines (UAL) passenger plane made an emergency landing at Japan's Kansai International Airport near Osaka following a fire in the flight's cargo hold, several media outlets reported Friday.
A total of 142 passengers and crew on United Airlines Flight 32 were evacuated via emergency slides, reports said.
Reports said that the Boeing ( BA ) 737 flight was traveling from Narita Airport in Tokyo to Cebu in the Philippines and landed in Kansai at around 6 am ET.
United Airlines and Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
