United Airlines Launches Media Platform Allowing Marketers to Customize Ads for Passengers
Jun 7, 2024 6:15 AM

08:47 AM EDT, 06/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- United Airlines (UAL) said Friday that it is launching a media network that uses data from travelers' behaviors to target them with individually tailored advertising.

United said the "Kinective Media" platform will allow companies to use the carrier's and inflight entertainment consoles to send customized advertising to passengers.

Kinective has already begun discussing possible deals with advertisers that include Norwegian Cruise Line (NCLH) and Macy's (M), as well as agencies such as Dentsu, the company said.

United said Kinective aggregates and anonymizes the passenger data it provides to advertisers and gives US customers the option to opt out.
