12:07 PM EDT, 08/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- United Airlines (UAL) has expressed concerns about the potential impact of Alaska Airlines' (ALK) merger with Hawaiian Airlines (HA) on United's cooperation agreement with Hawaiian, according to a US Department of Transportation memorandum.
United Airlines Chief Legal Officer Robert Rivkin on Tuesday spoke with Deputy General Counsel Brian Stansbury about the concerns, according to the notice dated Aug. 28.
Rivkin "noted that United has interline, codeshare, special prorate, and loyalty agreements with Hawaiian Airlines," the notice said.
The companies did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
