United Airlines to Begin Testing Starlink Next Month
Jan 6, 2025 1:01 AM

03:33 AM EST, 01/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- United Airlines (UAL) said Sunday it has moved up the timeline to bring SpaceX's Starlink internet service to passengers aboard its airplanes.

The airline said it now expects to begin testing Starlink services next month, with plans to equip its entire two-cabin regional fleet by the end of 2025, and have its first mainline Starlink-enabled airplane take flight before the end of the year.

The company said it will eventually provide Starlink service on all the planes in its fleet, with free access for MileagePlus loyalty program customers.

United said it signed an agreement last September with SpaceX to bring Starlink access to its entire fleet.
