07:51 AM EDT, 05/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- United Airlines (UAL) said Tuesday its new Boeing ( BA ) 787-9 aircraft will have "elevated" interiors with larger seats and luxury amenities, with the delivery of the first units before the end of the year.
The new aircraft will have the highest number of premium seats in United's fleet and new studio suites, which are 25% larger than the regular business-class seats, the company said. They will also be among the first to offer free Starlink connectivity to its loyalty program members.
The first international passenger flights for the new aircraft are planned in 2026. All of United's future 787 deliveries will get studio suites and elevated interiors, and around 30 of the planes will be added to its fleet by 2027, the company said.
