08:24 AM EDT, 08/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- United Airlines' (UAL) venture capital arm United Airlines Ventures said Wednesday it has invested in aerospace startup Astro Mechanica.

Financial terms of the investment weren't disclosed.

Astro Mechanica is developing the world's first supersonic aircraft with transpacific capability, United Airlines Ventures said, with an adaptive engine concept, using a hybrid electric architecture and advanced air frame design to optimize performance across a wide range of flight speeds and profiles.
