11:29 AM EST, 12/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- United Bankshares ( UBSI ) said Monday it has received all regulatory approvals for its proposed merger with Piedmont Bancorp.

The all-stock deal is expected to close early next year, with Piedmont merging into United and Piedmont Bank merging into United Bank, United said, adding it will be the surviving entity along with United Bank.
