United Microelectronics Reports 18% Growth in May Sales

03:15 AM EDT, 06/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- United Microelectronics ( UMC ) reported Friday sales of 22.94 billion New Taiwan dollars ($727.9 million) in May, up 17.8% from a year earlier.

For the period of January to May, sales increased 9.1% year-over-year to NT$106.65 billion.
