01:13 PM EDT, 05/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- A group of United Natural Foods ( UNFI ) drivers in Pennsylvania voted to join the International Brotherhood of Teamsters union, according to a statement Tuesday.

A group of 75 workers at the company's Harrisburg facility voted nearly unanimously to join Teamsters Local 776, the union said in the statement.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters said the drivers were the third group to unionize in a month. "In May alone, more than 250 [United Natural Foods ( UNFI )] workers joined the Teamsters at three different [United Natural Foods ( UNFI )] locations," the union said.

United Natural Foods ( UNFI ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
