06:30 AM EST, 11/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- United Parcel Service ( UPS ) said late Tuesday its flight from Louisville, Kentucky, to Honolulu, Hawaii, was involved in an accident shortly after takeoff with three crewmembers onboard.
The company halted package sorting operations at its Worldport hub in Louisville late Tuesday night, it said.
Multiple media outlets reported that seven people were killed in the accident, including the three crewmembers onboard the flight.
UPS and the US Federal Aviation Administration said that the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate, while the NTSB will lead the probe.
Shares of the company were down 1.3% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
