11:41 AM EDT, 09/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- United States Antimony ( UAMY ) said Wednesday it has signed a lease agreement to operate Contact Mill, a flotation facility located on private land in Philipsburg, Montana.

The Contact Mill is fully operational, complete with crushing, grinding, gravity, and dual flotation circuits, the firm said.

The company said the facility is capable of upgrading both foreign and domestic ores that previously could not achieve the cut-off grade at its operating Thompson Falls smelter necessary to produce antimony trisulphide products that meet military specifications.

Shares of United States Antimony ( UAMY ) were up more than 5% in recent trading.
