Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $7.03.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $100.82 billion, up from $92.36 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $99.28 billion.

The company narrowed its full-year 2024 adjusted net earnings outlook to $27.50 to $27.75 per share, from $27.50 to $28. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $27.69.

UnitedHealth's ( UNH ) shares were down more than 2% in recent premarket activity on Tuesday.
