04:52 PM EDT, 10/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Unitil ( UTL ) completed its $86 million acquisition of Maine Natural Gas from Avangrid Enterprises, following regulatory approval from the Maine Public Utilities Commission.

Maine Natural serves 6,300 natural gas customers across nine communities in the Greater Portland area and Augusta, operating 230 miles of distribution mains, Unitil ( UTL ) said Friday in a statement.

With the acquisition, Unitil ( UTL ) now serves 213,300 customers across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
