04:54 PM EST, 01/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Unitil ( UTL ) late Friday said it completed its $70.9 million acquisition of Bangor Natural Gas in Maine from a subsidiary of Hope Utilities.

The purchase of Bangor Natural Gas adds around 8,500 customers for Unitil ( UTL ) as well as 351 miles of distribution pipelines and nine miles of transmission pipelines to the Unitil ( UTL ) network.

Following the deal, which was first announced on July 8, 2024, Unitil ( UTL ) now serves approximately 207,000 customers across Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
