Universal Music appoints Matt Ellis as new CFO

May 12 (Reuters) - Universal Music Group, the

world's biggest music label, said on Monday it has appointed

Matt Ellis as its new chief financial officer.

Ellis, a former finance chief at Verizon Communications ( VZ )

, will succeed Boyd Muir, who was made chief operating

officer of UMG in October 2024.

The change will become effective on June 9, the company

said.
