04:57 PM EDT, 05/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Universal (UVV) reported fiscal Q4 adjusted earnings late Wednesday of $1.79 per diluted share, up from $0.97 a year earlier.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $770.9 million, up from $694 million a year earlier.

Analyst estimates were not readily available for comparison.

In a separate release, the company said it raised its quarterly dividend to $0.81 per share from $0.80 per share, payable on Aug. 5 to stockholders of record July 8.

Shares of Universal were down 0.5% in after-hours activity.
