09:14 AM EDT, 06/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Unusual Machines ( UMAC ) said Friday that its acquisition of Aloft has been terminated, effective June 9.
The decision was made because the transaction "no longer aligns with the strategic priorities of either organization," the company said.
The company said no termination fees were incurred, and the two drone component makers may collaborate in the future.
Unusual Machines ( UMAC ) said its outlook remains unchanged.
Separately, Unusual Machines ( UMAC ) said it agreed to buy Australia-based Rotor Lab in an all-stock deal valued at $7 million, including a $3 million earnout, to expand drone motor production.
The company said Rotor Lab makes electric motors for commercial and defense drones.
The companies have been jointly developing motors that will be produced at Unusual Machines' ( UMAC ) new factory in Orlando, Florida, which is set to open in September, Unusual Machines ( UMAC ) said.
The deal, signed on June 12, is subject to conditions including a finalized employment agreement with Rotor Lab's Chief Executive Andrew Simpson and regulatory approvals, the company said.
Shares of the company were up nearly 8% in recent Friday premarket activity.
