12:21 PM EDT, 08/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- ADENTRA ( HDIUF ) , a distributor of architectural building products, said overnight Thursday its second-quarter adjusted profit rose 47%.
The company said its adjusted profit, excluding most one-time items, rose to US$24.4 million from US$16.6 million in the year-prior quarter.
Sales slipped to US$549.5 million from US$585.9 million while adjusted EBITDA grew 5.1% to US$48.5 million.
"From an operations perspective, our bottom-line results continued to strengthen in the second quarter as tight operating management, successful strategy execution, and our significant diversification across products, geographies, customers and end-markets delivered predictably robust performance, despite softer markets," chief executive Rob Brown said.
Adentra's ( HDIUF ) shares were last seen up $2.08 to $42.85 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
