12:00 PM EDT, 08/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Aegis Brands ( SCUPF ) , owner of the St. Louis Bar and Grill and Wing City by St. Louis, said on Friday it swung to a profit in the second quarter on a 15 rise in sales.
The company said it earned $1.02 million, or $0.01 per share, in the period, up from a loss of $145,000, or nil, in the year-prior quarter.
Adjusted net income increased to $185,000, or $0.00 per share, from $179,000, or $0.00 per share.
"Since Aegis' acquisition of St. Louis, the brand has delivered positive same store sales with the last three quarters producing 9.4%, 13.6% and 11.6% respectively," said chief executive Steven Pelton "In uncertain economic times, these results are truly impressive."
Aegis shares were last seen up $0.02 to $0.42 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
