Update: Alpha Modus Sues Johnson Controls Over AI Patent Claims

Alpha Modus Holdings ( AMOD ) said its subsidiary filed a patent infringement lawsuit in federal court in Texas against Johnson Controls International ( JCI ) and its Sensormatic Electronics unit.

A separate suit targets Navori of Switzerland and meldCX of Australia, Alpha Modus ( AMOD ) said Tuesday in a statement.

The complaints allege the defendants "are unlawfully deploying Alpha Modus's ( AMOD ) patented artificial intelligence systems that monitor and analyze real-time consumer behavior, sentiment, and product interaction," according to the statement.

Johnson Controls ( JCI ) declined to comment.

Alpha Modus ( AMOD ) shares rose 0.9% in recent Tuesday trading, and Johnson Controls ( JCI ) fell 0.5%.
