Update: Alpha Modus Unit Sues Cisco for Alleged Patent Infringement
Jun 12, 2025 3:17 AM

05:57 AM EDT, 06/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with Cisco's ( CSCO ) response in the third and fourth paragraphs.)

Alpha Modus Holdings ( AMOD ) unit, Alpha Modus Ventures, said Wednesday that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Cisco Systems ( CSCO ) , alleging that certain Cisco ( CSCO ) networking and data center products infringed three Alpha Modus Ventures patents related to its fibre channel over ethernet technology.

The company said it seeks monetary damages from Cisco ( CSCO ) and claims that the "unauthorized" use of the "innovation" provided Cisco ( CSCO ) with a "significant" commercial benefit.

A Cisco ( CSCO ) spokesperson told MT Newswires in an email late Wednesday that the company has "demonstrated respect" for intellectual property rights.

"We will vigorously defend ourselves against the baseless allegations of infringement of expired patents, and we look forward to showcasing our groundbreaking advancements in court," the spokesperson added.
