Amazon.com ( AMZN ) is set to hold a hardware event in New York City on Sept. 30, the company said in a statement emailed to MT Newswires on Monday.

The company traditionally rolls out new products such as Echo smart speakers, Fire TV devices, Kindles and sometimes other gadgets during the annual fall event, The Verge reported.

Shares of the company were up 2.2% in recent trading.
