Amazon.com ( AMZN ) said it has cut about 100 jobs in its devices and services unit, confirming media reports from Wednesday.

"As part of our ongoing work to make our teams and programs operate more efficiently, and to better align with our product roadmap, we've made the difficult decision to eliminate a small number of roles," the company said in a statement to MT Newswires.

The company is working with impacted employees to help them find other internal roles, it said.
