American Express Company ( AXP ) said Friday it has agreed to acquire Tock, a reservation, table and event management technology provider, from Squarespace ( SQSP ) for $400 million in cash.
Squarespace ( SQSP ) and American Express ( AXP ) said that, as part of the deal, they will also team up to provide additional value to small businesses that use American Express ( AXP ) cards through the Amex Offers program and Card Member benefits.
American Express ( AXP ) also said it has agreed to acquire Rooam, a tech company that specializes in mobile payments, ordering and integrations with point of sale, marketing and loyalty systems used by entertainment venues and restaurants.
The company said its mobile ordering and payment capabilities will be improved by Rooam's proprietary products, such as Rooam Pay, Rooam Tab and Rooam Order.
Financial details were not disclosed.
