Amerigo Resources ( ARREF ) on Tuesday said copper production from its Minera Valle Central operation in Chile rose 12% in the fourth quarter compared with the previous three-month period.
The company reported copper output of 18.3-million pounds, rising from 16.3-million pounds produced in the third quarter.
Molybdenum production remained flat at 330,000 pounds.
For full year 2024, the Minera Valle Central mine produced 64.6-million pounds of copper, 3.5% above the company's guidance of 62.4 million pounds.
Amerigo's molybdenum production of 1.3-million pounds was also 8% higher than the company's target of 1.2-million pounds.
For 2025, Amerigo plans to produce 62.9-million pounds of copper and 1.3-million pounds of molybdenum, marking the fifth year of increased production guidance.
"This year, we expect to continue achieving solid and consistent results, and we will continue to optimize our operations with fiscal responsibility," said Aurora Davidson, Amerigo's chief executive. "Our return of capital strategy is fully deployed with the opportunity to use quarterly dividends, performance dividends, and share buybacks to return surplus cash to shareholders."
