Apple Hospitality REIT ( APLE ) said Friday that it has opened and acquired the 262-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Madison Downtown for $79.5 million.

The company also said it has sold the 82-room SpringHill Suites by Marriott Greensboro for $7.1 million.

Apple Hospitality said its portfolio now totals 224 hotels with 30,066 rooms.
