Update: Apple Shares Rises 2% After Fiscal Q4 Earnings, Revenue Rise; Quarterly Dividend Maintained

Apple ( AAPL ) shares were up 2% in Friday's premarket activity after the company reported fiscal Q4 earnings late Thursday of $1.85 per diluted share, up from $0.97 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.78.

Revenue for the three months ended Sept. 27 was $102.47 billion, up from $94.93 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $102.23 billion.

The company maintained its quarterly dividend at $0.26 per share, payable Nov. 13 to stockholders of record Nov. 10.
