Feb 25, 2025 9:12 AM

11:51 AM EST, 02/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates shares.)

Arizona Sonoran Copper ( ASCUF ) 's shares fell 4.8% at last look Tuesday as it reported initial infill drilling results from the Parks/Salyer copper deposit at the Cactus project in Arizona.

Highlights include 391 meters at 0.74% total copper, 465 meters at 0.74% total copper and 480 meters at 0.47% total copper.

The company said the results confirmed the continuity of mineralization at tighter drill spacings, and extended the high grade core at the deposit onto the MainSpring property.

"The integration of the MainSpring property into the Parks/Salyer deposit is moving along extremely well through both engineering and geology," chief executive George Ogilvie said. "Since 2021, and under the guidance of our geology team, conversion rates from inferred to the indicated and measured classifications at the Cactus project have been quite high and we anticipate another strong conversion in the planned 2025 updated mineral resource estimate."

Meanwhile, the company announced the departure of Doug Bowden as vice president exploration, effective April 1. Christopher White will be stepping into his place as manager, geology to lead the infill drilling programs for the Cactus project.

The company's shares were last seen down $0.07 to $1.81 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
