11:46 AM EDT, 09/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Aura Minerals ( ORAAF ) was in the news twice late on Sunday with an Almas production results and a debenture issuance.
Aura Minerals' ( ORAAF ) subsidiary Aura Almas Mineracao produced 4,723 ounces in July and 5,280 ounces in August. In these first two months of the third quarter, production increased 42% compared to the previous quarter's monthly average and rose 26% compared to the first-quarter monthly average.
The preliminary results reflect a stabilized production level and align with Almas' previous guidance, the company said.
Separately, Almas shareholders approved a second issuance of 500,000 non-convertible debentures to raises 500- million Brazilian reais.
Each debenture has a nominal unit value of 1,000 reais and will have a term of six years from the date of issue. The final maturity date is Oct. 2, 2030.
Proceeds from the issuance will be used for cash reinforcement and ordinary management of Almas' business.
Aura Minerals ( ORAAF ) shares were last seen down $0.49 to $13.60 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
