12:02 PM EDT, 05/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Aya Gold & Silver ( AYASF ) on Monday reported new high-grade exploration results from its 2024 drilling program of 120,000 meters at the Boumadine project in Morocco.

Results include 1,355 grams per tonne (g/t) silver equivalent over 3.1 meters, 354 g/t silver equivalent over 2.9 meters and 445 g/t silver equivalent over 13.7 meters.

Aya said the results extended the main mineralized trend by 800 meters and continued to demonstrate continuity of the Boumadine main zone, which remains open in all directions.

Aya said it also secured the right to seven additional exploration permits, expanding the Boumadine exploration footprint to over 198 square kilometers.

"We are excited to expand our presence further at Boumadine through the strategic addition of 7 new permits, as part of our ongoing strategy to grow our land package and underscoring our confidence in the region's mineral potential," chief executive Benoit La Salle said.

Aya shares were last seen down C$0.63 to C$14.22 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
