Update: Black Swan to Supply Graphene to Graphene Composites for Ballistic Shields
Jun 18, 2024 9:45 AM

12:10 PM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Black Swan Graphene ( BSWGF ) said Tuesday it will supply graphene to Graphene Composites (GC), for use in that company's GC Shield ballistic-protection technology.

According to Black Swan, GC Shields offer lightweight ballistic protection to the law enforcement and defense sectors. They possess unique force dispersion capabilities providing protection against multiple shots, stacked rounds, and edge impacts, while maintaining minimal back face deformation.

Black Swan said GC is also extending the GC Shields technology using Black Swan's graphene to other applications including vehicle armor.

"The quality, stability, and purity of the graphene produced by Black Swan, now utilized in the manufacture of GC Shields, ensure a highly stable product," said Steve Devine, Graphene Composites' chief technology officer, in a release.

Black Swan's shares shares were last seen up $0.005 to $0.14 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
