Update: BofA Raises Hewlett Packard Enterprise PT to $23 From $20 Over Settled US DOJ Antitrust Case, Maintains Buy Rating

BofA Securities raised its price target on Hewlett Packard Enterprise ( HPE ) to $23 from $20 it reached a settlement with the US Department of Justice, resolving concerns over its pending takeover of Juniper Networks ( JNPR ) .

The agreement, which still awaits final judge approval, eliminates the need for the previously scheduled July 9 trial, analyst Wamsi Mohan wrote in a Monday note.

While the company has not yet disclosed a potential closing date for the deal, the brokerage believes the company is eager to finalize the transaction as quickly as possible.

The bank sees the acquisition as a key catalyst for long-term earnings growth and multiple expansion, enabling the combined entity to deliver a comprehensive networking and AI infrastructure stack.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise ( HPE ) has an average rating of overweight and mean price target of $20.92, according to analysts polled by FactSet.

Shares of Hewlett Packard ( HPE ) rose 13% in recent Monday mid-day trading.
