Update: Boise Cascade Shares Fall After Q1 Earnings Miss Expectations

Boise Cascade ( BCC ) shares were down more than 4% in recent Tuesday trading after the supplier of wood products reported lower Q1 results with earnings missing analysts' expectations.

The company reported Q1 GAAP earnings late Monday of $1.06 per diluted share, down from $2.61 a year earlier.

Two analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.42.

Sales for the quarter ended March 31 were $1.54 billion, down from $1.65 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $1.52 billion.

The company kept its quarterly dividend at $0.21 per share, payable June 18 to holders of record June 2.
