Burlington Stores ( BURL ) shares tumbled 9% in recent Tuesday trading after the company posted fiscal Q3 revenue that trailed Wall Street estimates.

Revenue in the three months ended Nov. 1 rose to $2.71 billion from $2.53 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $2.72 billion.

Adjusted earnings rose to $1.68 per diluted share from $1.55 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.64.

The company expects fiscal Q4 adjusted EPS of $4.50 to $4.70. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $4.62.

The company expects full-year adjusted EPS of $9.69 to $9.89 on sales growth of about 8%. The previous guidance was EPS of $9.19 to $9.59 on sales growth of 7% to 8%.

Analysts polled by FactSet expect EPS of $9.57.
