C3.ai ( AI ) won a jury verdict against Cummins (CMI) in Delaware state court, with the jury finding Cummins liable for misappropriating C3.ai's ( AI ) trade secrets and awarding $23.3 million in damages, the company said Wednesday.

C3.ai ( AI ) filed the lawsuit in 2023 alleging Cummins improperly used trade secrets obtained through a licensing deal between the companies.

A Cummins spokesperson told MT Newswires that the company "respects the jury's role and the legal process but disagrees with the outcome of the case and stands by its commitment to conduct business with integrity and respect of the law."
