12:02 PM EDT, 08/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Canopy Growth ( CGC ) at last look gained 5.8% in early Monday trading as its Canopy USA unit named its new executive team to drive the company's expansion in the U.S. cannabis market.

Canopy USA appointed Casey Rash as chief financial officer, Rebecca Kirk as chief operating officer and Kelly Flores as chief business development officer.

"These leadership appointments mark the start of a plan to capture growth in the U.S. cannabis market," said Brooks Jorgensen, president of Canopy USA. "With our leadership team now in place, we're moving forward with purpose."

Canopy shares were last seen up $0.105 to $1.905 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
