Update: CarMax Shares Slump as Fiscal Q4 Results Miss Forecasts

CarMax ( KMX ) shares fell 13% in recent Thursday trading after the company's fiscal Q4 results trailed forecasts by analysts.

Earlier, Carmax ( KMX ) reported fiscal Q4 net earnings of $0.32 per diluted share, down from $0.44 a year earlier. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.45.

Net sales in the quarter ended Feb. 29 fell to $5.63 billion from $5.72 billion a year earlier. Analysts expected $5.81 billion.
