11:56 AM EDT, 09/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Coppernico Metals ( CPPMF ) said on Monday it completed three diamond drill holes totaling of 1,161.1 meters at the Corrales zone within the Sombrero copper project in Peru.
The company said assays for the holes are pending.
Coppernico said it is now testing the Hojota target area, located about 1 kilometer to the east of Corrales, where a fourth diamond drill hole is currently underway.
"As we advance the fourth of approximately thirty planned drill holes, we are very encouraged by the geological features we are intersecting," said Tim Kingsley, Coppernico's vice president of exploration. "The pace at which our team is gaining geological insights through drilling has been impressive, each hole is improving our model and allowing us to have greater confidence in our interpretations of geophysical signatures."
Coppernico shares were last seen up $0.03 to $0.39 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
