06:17 AM EDT, 09/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with Eli Lilly's ( LLY ) response in the fourth paragraph.)
Eli Lilly ( LLY ) has sold Imclone Systems to Celltrion's US unit for $330 million, media outlets reported Tuesday, citing a regulatory filing in South Korea.
Celltrion reportedly said it plans to complete the factory acquisition process by the end of the year.
The two key products that the company sells in the US, as well as future launches, are expected to be shielded from US tariff exposure following upgrades and expansions to the facility, Reuters reported.
"Lilly has an agreement in place with Celltrion to purchase our Lilly Branchburg manufacturing site as part of our broader global manufacturing strategy," a Lilly spokesperson said in a statement e-mailed to MT Newswires. "Following a comprehensive assessment, we concluded that the Branchburg capacity will not meet our future needs."
Celltrion didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
