12:01 PM EDT, 08/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Endeavour Silver ( EXK ) shares slumped 14% on Monday after the miner suspended the processing of material at the Guanacevi mill in Mexico because the trunnion on the primary ball mill failed.
The company said it could take up to 12 weeks to replace the equipment, adding that the disruption would impact its annual production and cost guidance.
Endeavour said it is assessing several alternatives, including operating at a significantly reduced capacity through minor conveyor modifications until the primary ball mill is operational.
Endeavour's shares were last seen down $0.58 to $3.64 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
