Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) shares were up over 16% in recent Tuesday trading after the company said it signed a memorandum of understanding with Vulcan Elements to collaborate on building a domestic supply chain for rare earth magnets.

Under the collaboration, Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) will supply Vulcan Elements with rare earth oxides for validation in rare earth magnet production, the company said.

The companies plan to negotiate long-term supply agreements for neodymium-praseodymium and dysprosium oxides after validation, Energy Fuels ( UUUU ) added.
