Ireland's Data Protection Commission said Thursday that it has opened a probe on Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) to see whether they have implemented adequate protections on EU users' personal data before using them to train its foundational AI model, Pathways Language Model 2.
